Let’s come together for the Karst!
The fire destroyed more than 3,600 hectares of the Goriška and Komen Karst. The worst fire in Slovenia’s history has devastated nature and cut into our everyday lives. It will take decades, not just years, for the landscape and villages to recover. You can help start a new life by taking part in special events and TOGETHER FOR KARST campaigns.
The municipalities of Miren-Kostanjevica, Renče-Vogrsko and Komen have signed an agreement with our Foundation to raise dedicated funds for the reconstruction of the burnt Karst. Present and future generations deserve to see the Karst, destroyed by fire, recover.
