3. a charity gathering with cherries and a football
Sunday, 1st of June, we invite you to Goriška Brda, where we will have fun with good company, cherries and playing football.
We predict football, cherries, socialising, fun, interesting guests. This year, they will also compete in a football duel and 11-metre shooting.
So meet us at the football field in Vipolže at 17:00, where you can expect to see many famous faces and this year’s successful Olympians.
With us will be:
- the pioneers of football in Brda (40 years ago),
- the winemakers of Brda,
- doctors and nurses at Stara Gora Hospital,
- journalists,
- sportsmen and sportswomen from Britian: high jumper Lidija Kristančič and former football player Miran Srebrnič
- Edy Reja, football coach in Italy,
- olympic gold medal winners in Sochi: ski jumper Peter Prevc and surfer Žan Košir,
- pater Bogdan Knavs – Personality of Primorska 2013,
- Lucija Mlinarič, one of the world’s best roller skaters,
- Tomaž Kavčič, selector of the young Slovenian national football team,
- former football players Adrian Fegic and Matej Mavrič Rožič,
- ski jumper Jaka Hvala
Tina Maze and Andrea Massi were always among the guests at the first two events and we know what a great season they had ….. and because they say it’s the third time’s the charm …..
